Prospect Planning and Zoning Commission approves water main expansion project

CT PROSPECT — Prospect Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approves major water main extension project. Mayor Robert J. Chatfield requested extension of the water main on Coachlight Circle, Cobblestone, and Fieldstone streets, with the town receiving $200,000 from the State Bond Commission in August 2026.

The mayor is securing an additional $1.2 million to complete the work, with the town providing 10 percent funding. Grants Director Megan Patchkofsky said the project will provide public water access to 17 homes in this phase, with additional homes to receive service in subsequent phases.
