Blight commission fields second complaint at Rek Lane property

CT PROSPECT — The Prospect Anti-Blight Commission met July 9 to address ongoing property-compliance cases. Chairman Carey Fitzgerald led the board in reviewing conditions at 17 Rek Lane, where owner Chuck Rek is not currently residing and a second complaint has been filed, and 25 Rek Lane, where visible improvements were noted despite a loaded truck remaining at the site. The commission approved prior meeting minutes unanimously and scheduled its next meeting for August 6, 2026.
