District 16 approves $5.2 million for high school roof and solar

CT PROSPECT — District 16 awards $5.2 million for high school roof and solar work. Regional School District No. 16 voted unanimously to award $3.488 million to Barrett Inc. for roof replacement at Woodland Regional High School and $1.699 million to All Electric Construction & Communication LLC for solar installation. The Board approved five new teachers for the 2026-2027 school year, including three for Prospect Elementary School and one for Laurel Ledge Elementary School, while Superintendent Michael P.
Yamin reported the district is 100% staffed except for two open positions. Both projects came in approximately $1.3 million under initial budget estimates.
