CT PROSPECT — Planning board accepts nursing home text amendment application. The Prospect Planning and Zoning Commission, with Chairman M. Dreher presiding and four members present, unanimously accepted an application from ICES, Inc. to amend the town's zoning regulations regarding convalescent and nursing homes.
ICES representatives Chet Doheny and Sonny Casano stated the text change would facilitate phased development of an assisted living facility at 25 Royal Crest and ensure the use remains limited to a licensed, qualified provider for the state. The commission scheduled a public hearing for September 2, 2026.
