Prospect Board of Recreation approves Fishing Derby, tracks fitness center

CT PROSPECT — The Prospect Board of Recreation approved expenses for the April 25 Fishing Derby and updated members on expanded spring programming. Director Christopher Moffo reported the fiber arts program opened with 20 participants, and the board discussed adding a camp nurse to the summer program available four days weekly. The board voted unanimously to approve the purchase of 309 fish from Harding Trout Farm for $2,247.80.

The community center fitness center flooring is complete with equipment on order for fall 2026 opening, and the Spring Fling on May 16 has over 60 vendors confirmed.
