CT PROSPECT — Regional School District 16 schedules May 4 vote on $46.5 million budget. The two-town board unanimously approved a public hearing on the 2026-2027 budget proposal, setting May 4 for a district vote at Woodland Regional High School using paper ballots rather than show of hands. Superintendent Michael P.
Yamin reported the $46,538,519 budget represents a 2.95 percent increase and reflects a fiscally responsible approach with modest growth. Resident Fred Smith and Beacon Falls Mayor Robert Chatfield both voiced support for the spending plan.
