CT PROSPECT — Regional School District 16 board approves superintendent contract and four new staff hires. Superintendent Michael P. Yamin's one-year contract for 2026-2027 was unanimously approved, along with hiring of four educators: Kate Mooney as teacher for Laurel Ledge Elementary at $51,310, Jaclyn Morrissey as Special Education Teacher at $55,107, Kelmend Pacuku as Guidance Counselor for Long River Middle School at $55,896, and Paige Godsil (Nonamaker) as teacher for Prospect Elementary at $53,272.
The board accepted retirement letters from Martin Senich, Deborah Pannone, Elena Guerra, and Michael Cullen, and a resignation from Tammy Johnson. The board approved combined budget transfers of $298,968.06 for March and April, and Chief Financial Officer Tony DiLeone reported free breakfasts have been secured for all students in 2026-2027.
