CT PROSPECT — Prospect approves $85,373 emergency transfer for snowstorm and building expenses. The Town Council authorized the transfer to cover unexpected costs from recent heavy snowstorms, including contractor payments for ice and salt removal, public works overtime, and equipment damage, as well as emergency repairs to Town Hall where a heating system failure caused pipe bursts and flooding. Chairman Michael Palmerie Jr. explained that the town allots money per line item, and when unexpected expenses occur, budgeted funds are depleted; the transfer replenishes what was paid out.
Council Member Loreen Elbakry abstained; the motion otherwise carried.
