Prospect Council Approves $85,373 Transfer for Storm and Building Repairs

CT PROSPECT — Prospect Town Council approves $85,373 emergency transfer for storms and repairs. Chairman Michael Palmerie Jr. presided over the meeting with seven of eight members present as the council approved the transfer with one abstention (Loreen Elbakry) to cover heavy winter snowstorm expenses including $25,000 for ice and salt contractors and street clearing, $15,000 each for Town Hall repairs and maintenance following a heating system failure that caused pipe bursts, and $10,000 in Public Works overtime. The Council also unanimously approved a $1,100 transfer for Town Clerk professional development toward Certified Municipal Clerk certification and unanimously appointed Ben Fidanza to the Inland Wetlands Commission as an alternate member.
