Prospect tables Fire Marshal budget; approves departmental spending

CT PROSPECT — Town Council approves approximately $3.2 million in ten departmental budgets; Fire Marshal tabled. The Prospect Town Council unanimously approved ten departmental spending plans including $1,446,655.59 for Police and $811,640 for Solid Waste during a budget workshop led by Chairman Mike Palmerie Jr. Fire Marshal Mark Goletz's budget was tabled after Council concerns about a new Deputy Fire Marshal position on a per diem basis and a clerical assistant increase from 25 to 30 hours per week.

The Library budget and Commission on Aging action were also held for later review.
