CT PROSPECT — Prospect Town Council approves $1.44 million police budget after debate on spending. The council voted to cut the police department's vehicle computer supplies line from $22,000 to $20,000 on a 5-3-1 vote, with the overall police budget ultimately reduced by $9,000 to $1,437,655.59 and approved unanimously. The council also voted 7-1 with one abstention to restore $3,000 to the Prospect Public Library's supplies account after Sue McKernan testified that cuts threatened summer programming.
