misc · Meeting of March 24, 2026

CT PROSPECT — Prospect Council approves departmental budgets totaling $2.6 million; employee benefits tabled. The Town Council unanimously approved 11 of 12 proposed 2026-2027 budget line items, with Public Works Labor ($729,031), Parks and Recreation ($431,599), and the Mayor's Office ($332,078) representing the largest approvals. Parks and Recreation Director Chris Moffo sought funding for a proposed camp nurse position and expanded programs.

Registrars Katie Blinstrubas requested salary increases for two registrars, constrained by town policy prohibiting salary increases for elected officials running for re-election in an election year. The Benefits for Town Employees line item was tabled pending further clarification.
