Town Council approves $2.3M in fiscal budget allocations

CT PROSPECT — Prospect Town Council approves $2.3 million in fiscal budget allocations. The Council unanimously approved nine budget line items during a special workshop on April 21, 2026, including $532,295 for Fire Protection (reduced by $6,500 after discussion), $267,665.61 for Insurance, and $204,237 for Hydrants. Chairman Mike Palmerie Jr. guided the workshop, which tabled Fire Marshal, Police Department, and Solid Waste items for further discussion.

The Council approved Debt Service allocations totaling $942,358.99 and re-committed Emergency Management unused funds. A moment of silence honored Steve Hill, Financial Consultant, who passed away that week.
